Rayman Legends is a dazzling 2D platformer, a jewel in the crown of Ubisoft Montpellier's creative output. Geyser Blast, found within the lively Jibberish Jungle in Rayman Legends, serves as a wonderfully nostalgic and engaging return to familiar territory. This level, a remastered gem from *Rayman Origins* where it was known as "Geyser Blowout," immerses players in a lush, rainy jungle environment. The visuals are breathtaking, with creature-shaped rocks and cascading waterfalls creating a vivid backdrop. The core of the gameplay revolves around the ingenious use of geysers, which become essential tools for launching Rayman and his companions to new heights, allowing them to navigate the challenging terrain and discover hidden secrets. These geysers are the key to overcoming obstacles, interacting with platforms, and carefully managing watery sections teeming with dangers. The level is populated with a familiar cast of quirky foes. Players will encounter the feisty Lividstones, easily dealt with by a quick punch, and in *Rayman Legends*, some of these and moving platforms have been replaced by the unsettling Psychlopses, adding a fresh twist to certain encounters. The watery areas are guarded by menacing tentacle claws, a constant reminder to stay on solid ground. "Geyser Blast" also proudly holds the distinction of being the first level in the original to hide Electoon cages, which in *Rayman Legends* now safeguard precious Teensies. Ten of these little blue beings are hidden throughout the level, often requiring clever platforming or exploration of secret rooms to rescue. A notable shift from the original is the substitution of a Skull Coin with a Teensy near a treacherous set of tentacle claws. To progress, players must master the timing of their geyser jumps, collecting Lums and reaching elevated platforms. Secret areas demand the defeat of specific enemies, like four Lividstones on moving platforms, or strategically eliminating foes near spiky flowers, sometimes with the help of a green bulb to alter the environment.
