Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is a role-playing game where Finn the Human and Jake the Dog must save the Land of Ooo after it's flooded. They sail around in a boat, fighting pirates and uncovering a conspiracy. Along the way, they team up with BMO and Marceline. The game combines exploring the world with turn-based battles and has a fun "Interrogation Time" minigame. In this game, Fern is a pretty important guy, especially when it comes to figuring out why Ooo is all wet. Finn and Jake first run into him when he’s hanging out with a bunch of pirates. He’s not just some random pirate; he’s like, a leader of them. This makes Finn and Jake’s quest to fix everything a bit more personal because they have to go up against their old friend. Their first big showdown with Fern happens in the Dark Forest. It’s a tough boss fight, and Fern is definitely not playing nice. He seems pretty mad about stuff and really likes his new pirate life. After Finn and Jake win, they rescue Princess Bubblegum. Even though Fern gets captured, he doesn’t stay put for long. He escapes, and Princess Bubblegum figures out that the Ice King’s crown got messed with, causing the flood. She thinks someone with science smarts might have used the Enchiridion, a magic book, to do it. While Fern isn’t blamed for the whole flood, him being with the pirates and showing up at that moment makes you wonder. It’s hinted that his "uncle" might have had something to do with it. So, finding Fern becomes a big deal. Princess Bubblegum sends Finn and Jake to find him in the Evil Forest to get more info about the pirates. Fern’s story is all about him falling from grace. Even though the flood gets fixed, Fern’s story ends on a cliffhanger. In a scene after the credits, he’s back and breaks Uncle Gumbald and his pals out of jail, setting up more trouble. This makes Fern a key bad guy in the game, leaving us wondering what will happen to him and if he’ll ever be good again.
