This is where Level 1 begins. The initial objective is for the crew to get the ship operational. Professor Farnsworth, in true, absent-minded style, assigns tasks. Leela is put on the control panel, Bender is tasked with physically bending the ship back into shape, and Fry, well, Fry is sent on a seemingly simple mission to find a hammer. However, this quickly escalates into a core gameplay objective for the level: finding all of the Professor's scattered tools throughout the Planet Express building. Playing as Fry, the player navigates the familiar, cel-shaded environment of the Planet Express headquarters. This first level serves as an excellent tutorial, introducing the basic platforming and exploration mechanics. Players will jump across debris and carefully maneuver to collect the scattered tools, all while being treated to the show's signature witty dialogue and humor from the original voice actors. Along the way, there are also collectibles in the form of Nibblers to find. Once all the tools are gathered, the Professor discovers a more pressing issue: the backup dark matter engine is missing, having been pawned by the Professor himself for a gun. This revelation marks the end of the "Planet Express" level, seamlessly transitioning the player and the narrative into the next stage, where Fry must venture out into Mom-controlled New New York to retrieve the engine. Level 1 successfully establishes the game's premise, reintroduces beloved characters, and gently teaches the player how to play, all wrapped in that unmistakable Futurama charm.
