Rayman Legends is a bright and joyful 2D platformer, a real treat from Ubisoft Montpellier. It's the fifth main game in the Rayman series, building on the great fun of Rayman Origins. You have to be precise to move through the air, dodging obstacles and enemies. You even get a special "Flying Punch" power-up from an Elder Teensy, which lets you shoot at enemies from a distance. This is really useful because there are lots of toads in the air, some with parachutes and jetpacks, making them a tricky threat. To finish the level perfectly, you need to find hidden Teensies and collect Lums. The "Toad Story" world, and "When Toads Fly" within it, looks amazing. It's like a magical version of "Jack and the Beanstalk," with a swampy feel. The background has huge beanstalks and castles, with a soft light that makes it feel dreamy. The characters and enemies are drawn in a cute, cartoon style that's typical of Rayman. The music in the game is also fantastic, a mix of cheerful and adventurous tunes. While there isn't a specific song called "When Toads Fly," the music in the "Toad Story" world matches the exciting feeling of flying through the sky. There's even a harder, "invaded" version of the level where you race against time to save Teensies from enemies from another world, making it a really challenging but fun experience.
