The story behind it is that Rayman's world is plagued by bad dreams, corrupting its rulers into monstrous forms. The Mocking Bird is one such afflicted king, and your task is to defeat it and return it to its gentle nature. The battle takes place in the Grumbling Grottos, a visually stunning world with a hand-drawn, painterly aesthetic that truly shines. The arena itself is an earthy cave, lit by bioluminescent flora, creating a magical yet perilous atmosphere. The music here is orchestral and dynamic, swelling and shifting to amplify the tension of the fight. The encounter begins with the colossal, monstrous bird asleep. Waking it up by tugging its tail initiates the fight, which unfolds in three distinct stages. In each stage, you'll need to target a specific weak spot, or "bubo," on the bird's body. The first phase involves dodging aerial attacks and hitting a bubo on its belly, which then creates an updraft for the second phase. This aerial segment sees you gliding, avoiding charges and smaller avian enemies, culminating in a headbutt that reveals a bubo on the bird's head. The final phase is the most frantic, with the Mocking Bird trying to suck you in. You must fight against the vortex while dodging spiky birds, until it becomes dizzy, leaving its tail vulnerable for the final blow. Defeating this last bubo shrinks the bird back to its proper size, a satisfying conclusion to a brilliant challenge. When this level was brought into *Rayman Legends* from *Rayman Origins*, its visuals were enhanced, and Electoons were replaced with Teensies, maintaining its challenging essence for a new audience.
