Rayman Legends is a vibrantly imaginative 2D platformer, a jewel in the crown of Ubisoft Montpellier's creative prowess. The game's conclusion in Rayman Legends unfolds in the spectacular world of Olympus Maximus, a fittingly grand stage for the final showdown. After waking from their long nap and battling through various corrupted worlds orchestrated by five evil Dark Teensies, Rayman and his companions arrive in this realm inspired by Greek mythology. Olympus Maximus presents a mix of ethereal marble forums floating in the sky and the fiery depths of Hades' underworld, a treacherous environment filled with mythical beasts like minotaurs and hazards such as lightning bolts. The ultimate goal of rescuing all the captured Teensies leads them to the final level, "A Cloud of Darkness!". Entering this stage, a deceptively calm rocky labyrinth quickly gives way to the final boss. A horde of dark creatures coalesces into a monstrous entity known as Hades' Hand. Empowered with the Elder Teensy's Flying Punch, players must engage in a multi-phase battle. Initially, the boss pursues them vertically, requiring skillful dodging and well-timed punches. After this phase, the battle continues with smaller, flying forms that must also be dispatched with the Flying Punch. The ultimate confrontation occurs on airborne platforms against a massive, regenerating form of Hades' Hand, demanding swift and accurate attacks. Upon its final defeat, the immediate threat vanishes, and a peaceful platform appears. A remix of the Rayman Origins theme plays as Lums rain down, signifying the end of the main conflict and the triumphant return of peace to the Glade of Dreams. The final Dark Teensy is then comically sent to the moon, a running gag that underscores the game's lighthearted victory.
