Rayman Legends
ລາຍລະອຽດ
Rayman Legends is a lively and very good 2D platformer from Ubisoft Montpellier. It's the fifth main game in the Rayman series, building on what made *Rayman Origins* so great. This game has a lot of new things, better gameplay, and looks really nice, which everyone loved.
The story starts with Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies taking a long nap. While they sleep, bad dreams invade their home, snatching the Teensies and causing trouble. Their friend Murfy wakes them up, and the heroes have to save the Teensies and make things peaceful again. The adventure takes them through amazing places, seen through magical paintings. They go to funny places like "Teensies in Trouble" and scary ones like "20,000 Lums Under the Sea," and even party places like "Fiesta de los Muertos."
The way you play in *Rayman Legends* is fast and smooth, just like in *Rayman Origins*. Up to four people can play together, going through levels made with lots of detail and hidden stuff. The main goal is to save the Teensies, which unlocks more worlds and levels. You can play as Rayman, Globox, and many Teensies you find. Barbara the Barbarian Princess is also playable after you rescue her.
One of the coolest parts of *Rayman Legends* is its music levels. These levels are set to exciting remakes of famous songs. You have to jump, punch, and slide at the same time as the music. It’s a mix of platforming and rhythm that’s really fun. Murfy, a green fly, also helps you out in some levels. On some consoles, a second player can control Murfy directly to move things, cut ropes, and distract bad guys. In other versions, Murfy helps when you press a button.
There’s a lot to do in the game, with over 120 levels. This includes 40 levels from *Rayman Origins* that you can get by finding special tickets. These tickets also give you Lums and more Teensies. Many levels have "Invaded" versions where you have to finish them really fast. There are also daily and weekly online challenges to compete for the best scores.
The game was first planned only for the Nintendo Wii U, using its special controller for Murfy's help. But because the Wii U wasn't selling well, the game was also made for other systems like PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. This delay let the developers make the game even better and add more content. It later came out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with better graphics and shorter loading times. A "Definitive Edition" for the Nintendo Switch also has Murfy controls for when you play in handheld mode.
When it came out, *Rayman Legends* was loved by critics. They praised its beautiful art, made with the UbiArt Framework engine, which makes it look like a painting. The levels were called creative and well-designed. The controls felt great, and the music was energetic and catchy. The amount of content and the fun co-op play were also big pluses. Many reviewers said it was one of the best 2D platformers ever made.
Within the bright and cheerful world of Toad Story in *Rayman Legends*, "Altitude Quickness" is the fifth level. It throws players into a fast-paced, upward chase. This level really shows off the game's core gameplay: quick platforming mixed with puzzles, all while chasing a sneaky Dark Teensy. The story here is simple but exciting: another of the game’s Dark Teensies has been spotted, and Rayman and his friends need to catch them. This chase happens on giant beanstalks, floating castles, and in windy spots that players must skillfully move through. The level is part of the "Toad Story" world, which takes inspiration from the fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk, with a swampy, beanstalk-filled setting.
Playing "Altitude Quickness" means you need to be good at the game's smooth movement, especially gliding on air. Players have to use updrafts to climb the screen, dodging obstacles and enemies. The main bad guys are mean toads, some with shields, as well as ogres and mean plants. The constant upward movement creates a feeling of rush, forcing players to keep moving so they don't fall or hit something bad.
A big part of "Altitude Quickness," like many levels in *Rayman Legends*, is Murfy, the green fly. In this level, Murfy is very important for getting through. Players controlling Murfy can change the environment by moving platforms, cutting ropes to open paths, and tickling enemies to stun them, helping the main player move forward. This teamwork adds a puzzle element to the fast platforming, needing good coordination and quick thinking. For example, Murfy might have to spin platforms so the player can pass safely or make creatures create helpful winds.
Hidden in "Altitude Quickness" are secrets and collectibles that encourage players to explore carefully. There are two secret areas and hidden Skull Coins, which add to your final score. Finding these often means going off the main path and using your platforming skills in clever ways. For those who want an even bigger challenge, "Altitude Quickness" has an...
