Chapter 1 - The Long Juicy Road (Short 1), World of Goo 2

World of Goo 2 is a physics-based puzzle game where players build structures using "Goo Balls" to guide them to an exit pipe. Chapter 1, "The Long Juicy Road," begins 15 years after the original, as Goo Balls reappear alongside new squid-like creatures. The World of Goo Organization, a rebranded version of the corporation, starts collecting the goo again. This chapter introduces various new Goo types like Product Goo and Water Goo, as well as liquid physics and environmental elements like Goo Cannons. New characters such as the Distant Observer and Squiddy appear. The chapter concludes dramatically as a giant squid creature, upon whose back the entire landmass rests, surfaces and breathes fire, a signal noticed by the Distant Observer far in the future. This introductory chapter reacquaints players with the core gameplay while setting the stage for the subsequent narrative.
