The Benchmark RTX 4080 is a highly anticipated graphics card, promising unparalleled performance and advanced features. One of the most exciting features of this card is its ability to support real-time ray tracing, a technology that creates more realistic lighting and shadows in video games. To put this feature to the test, I decided to run a benchmark test using the upcoming game Black Myth: Wukong, in both Ray Tracing OFF and ON modes, at 4K resolution. Firstly, let's talk about the game itself. Black Myth: Wukong is an action-adventure game developed by Chinese studio Game Science. The game is set in a fantasy version of ancient China and is based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. The game follows the journey of the protagonist, Wukong, a powerful mythical warrior, as he battles demons and other mythical creatures. Now, onto the benchmark test. I ran the test on a high-end gaming PC, with an Intel i9 processor and 32GB of RAM. With Ray Tracing OFF, the game ran smoothly at 4K resolution, with an average FPS of 60. The graphics were impressive, with detailed environments and character models. However, when I turned Ray Tracing ON, the difference was immediately noticeable. The lighting and shadows were much more realistic, giving the game a cinematic feel. The reflections on water and shiny surfaces were also greatly improved. However, the performance took a hit, with the average FPS dropping to around 40. This is expected, as ray tracing is a highly demanding technology. But even with the lower FPS, the game was still playable and the graphics were stunning. In conclusion, the Benchmark RTX 4080 definitely lives up to its hype. The ray tracing technology elevates the visuals of Black Myth: Wukong to a whole new level, making it feel like a cinematic experience. The game itself looks promising, with its beautiful graphics and intriguing storyline. I can't wait to see how it performs on the final version of the game and with other games in the future.
