Borderlands 4
விளக்கம்
Borderlands 4, the latest in the beloved looter-shooter series, was released on September 12, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K. Set six years after Borderlands 3, the game transports players to the new planet Kairos, where a fresh band of Vault Hunters must unite with the Crimson Resistance to overthrow the tyrannical Timekeeper. The story begins when Lilith's accidental teleportation of Elpis reveals Kairos's location, leading to the capture of the new Vault Hunters by the Timekeeper's forces. Players can choose from four new Vault Hunters: Rafa the Exo-Soldier with an exo-suit, Harlowe the Gravitar who manipulates gravity, Amon the Forgeknight a melee specialist, and Vex the Siren who wields phase energy. The game boasts a seamless open world across Kairos's four regions, enhanced traversal mechanics like grappling hooks and gliding, and dynamic environmental elements. The core looter-shooter gameplay, extensive weapon customization, and co-op play remain central, with crossplay support at launch. Post-launch content, including a DLC with a new Vault Hunter named C4SH, is planned, alongside regular updates to improve gameplay and address issues.
"The Next Quest Thing" is a prime example of Borderlands 4's signature meta-humor. This side quest, found in the Terminus Range's Stoneblood Forest, becomes available after completing "Sage Against the Machine." The twist? The player, fresh from bizarre "enlightenment" trials, becomes an unwilling life coach to the bewildered NPC, Wayward Soul. The mission description playfully mocks the player's role: "The Life Coach is gone… or are they? Maybe they're still with you. Maybe they were with you all along. Maybe they WERE you all along! Maybe… maybe you can convince this weirdo to leave you alone so you can put all this “inner peace” madness behind you." The objectives are comically absurd, involving balancing items on Wayward Soul's head, saving him from Kratch, and then fabricating a justification for the chaos. The quest satirizes game design by having the player encourage Wayward Soul to embrace negativity, throw a rock at him for "awareness," and finally, to "accept his material burdens" by defeating rippers and, ironically, the newly "enlightened" Wayward Soul himself. The rewards of experience, cash, and Eridium feel like a wink to the player for engaging in this self-aware parody of quest mechanics and player agency, perfectly encapsulating Borderlands 4's irreverent charm.
