*Rayman Raving Rabbids*, released in 2006, was a surprising turn for the beloved *Rayman* franchise. Instead of a traditional platformer, it transformed into a chaotic collection of motion-controlled minigames designed to showcase the Nintendo Wii's capabilities. The game’s premise is simple: the rabbid, gibberish-screaming creatures known as Rabbids invade, capture Rayman, and force him to compete in bizarre trials for their amusement. Between these trials, Rayman is imprisoned, earning plungers that eventually help him escape. The tone is lighthearted and silly, defined by the Rabbids' nonsensical antics and their peculiar use of everyday objects. Within this madcap world, one minigame perfectly encapsulates the Rabbids' disruptive nature: "Bunnies don't like being disturbed on holiday." This level, a "Bunny Hunt," places Rayman in an on-rails shooter scenario where the objective is to defend a captured Baby Globox from Rabbids trying to enjoy a beach vacation. What begins as a peaceful scene quickly devolves into hilarious mayhem. Sleeping Rabbids are rudely awakened, and the player must shoot them with plungers as they attack with their own projectile weapons. Even more amusing are the "Frog-Rabbids" emerging from the water and the meta-humorous "Sam Fisher" Rabbids, complete with night-vision goggles. The environment itself becomes a weapon, with explosive beach balls and a radio that, when shot, plays soothing music that momentarily distracts the Rabbids into dancing. The climax involves defending against rockets from a giant yellow submarine. This minigame highlights how even during a supposed holiday, the Rabbids are agents of delightful, nonsensical chaos, proving that their idea of relaxation is anything but tranquil for those around them.
