Drool, World of Goo
World of Goo
Description
I recently played the popular puzzle game, World of Goo, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed with one particular goo type - Drool. As a player, it was frustrating to see Drool constantly oozing and dripping, making it difficult to control and use in the levels.
Drool is a green, slimy goo that sticks to surfaces and constantly drips, making it difficult to build structures and complete levels. While I understand that the developers were trying to add a unique and challenging element to the game with Drool, it ended up being more of a hindrance than an enjoyable aspect.
In some levels, Drool is required to complete puzzles, but its unpredictable dripping and sticking make it frustrating to use. It often ended up ruining my carefully constructed structures and causing me to restart the level multiple times. This took away from the overall enjoyment of the game and made me dread seeing Drool appear in a level.
Aside from my frustration with Drool, I did enjoy the overall concept and gameplay of World of Goo. The game is visually stunning, with its colorful and whimsical graphics. The soundtrack is also delightful and adds to the immersive experience.
The gameplay is challenging yet addictive, as players must carefully use different types of goo to build structures and reach the end goal. The game also has a clever storyline and cleverly incorporates themes of environmentalism and capitalism.
However, my frustration with Drool overshadowed my overall enjoyment of the game. I found myself dreading levels that required its use and wishing there was a way to avoid it altogether.
In conclusion, while I appreciate the effort to add a unique element to World of Goo with Drool, it ultimately detracted from my overall experience. I would recommend the game to puzzle game enthusiasts, but be prepared for some frustrating moments with Drool.
