Ghosts of the Past (Short 2), Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is an origin story game where a young, arrogant Sherlock investigates his mother's death on the fictional island of Cordona. The game features an open world, detailed investigations, and a Mind Palace for deductions. Combat is optional, focusing on non-lethal methods. "Ghosts of the Past" is the first main case, acting as a tutorial. It begins at the hotel when a lost cane leads Sherlock to a seance room. He investigates a peculiar scene, profiling Lord Craven and searching for clues like 'ectoplasm' and a butterfly brooch. The investigation extends to a courtyard, revealing a witness, Lucia, a maid. Using her testimony and the clues, Sherlock reconstructs the seance in the Imagination Sequence. The case darkens with Lady Craven's murder in her suite. Examining her body and the room reveals more clues, including a secret compartment and letters. Sherlock then investigates the medium, Luka Ghalichi's room, finding more fake ectoplasm and tools. Using the Mind Palace, Sherlock connects the evidence, deducing that Lady Craven was a thief and Ghalichi, a former thief, killed her after realizing her plot.
