Chapter 5, "A New Home," is a narrative-focused transition following a daring prison escape. B.J., Anya, and a rescued comrade (Fergus or Wyatt) flee Nazi pursuers in a stolen car. Recognizing the extensive surveillance, they use a water feature's mist for cover, sacrificing the car as a decoy. They dive into the water, swimming to a submerged entrance guarded by a chained grate. B.J. uses the laser cutter to breach the entrance. Inside, they are greeted by resistance members, including Max Hass and Klaus Kreutz. B.J. is initially wary of Klaus due to a Nazi tattoo, but is reassured of his loyalty. The group is surprised to find the resistance headquarters hidden beneath Berlin. Caroline Becker, the resistance leader, reappears, and B.J. learns of her injury. Depending on the prologue choice, the rescued comrade is either confronted by Tekla or interacts with J, a musician. This chapter establishes the headquarters as the new base, reintroduces key characters, and integrates new ones. Gameplay in this chapter focuses on exploring the headquarters. B.J. is tasked with retrieving the 'Project Whisper' folder, requiring him to find a crowbar to access a hidden room. Collectibles, including a Gold Urn found through a secret passage in Caroline’s room and a record, are available. Armor and health upgrades can also be found within the base. The chapter concludes after B.J. obtains the folder and speaks with Caroline, setting up the next phase of the resistance's fight.
