Успеть к Поезду, Ищем Жопы | Borderlands 2 | Walkthrough, Gameplay, No Commentary
Borderlands 2
Description
Borderlands 2 is a first-person shooter with role-playing elements set on the chaotic planet Pandora. Players take on the role of Vault Hunters seeking to stop the villainous Handsome Jack. The game is known for its cel-shaded art style, extensive loot system with countless unique weapons, and irreverent humor. It features cooperative multiplayer and a wealth of side content, making it a highly replayable and engaging experience.
The mission "Hunting the Firehawk" (Успеть к Поезду) is a pivotal main story quest in Borderlands 2, given by Roland and spanning several locations like Sanctuary, Three Horns - Divide, Tundra Express, and End of the Line. The objective is to intercept a Hyperion train and steal the Vault Key it’s transporting. This mission introduces players to the eccentric and bombastic 13-year-old demolitions expert, Tiny Tina, requiring them to help her gather bomb components she calls "badonkadonks." This particular stage, involving the search for these parts, is humorously referred to by players as "ищем жопы" (searching for butts), reflecting the game's quirky humor and Tiny Tina's character.
After rescuing Roland, the player meets him in Sanctuary where he outlines the plan to hijack the heavily armored Hyperion train carrying the Vault Key. The first step involves heading to Tundra Express to meet Roland's spy. Upon arriving, the spy is revealed to be Mordecai, who needs to be woken up by simultaneously igniting three Varkids. This can be achieved using incendiary weapons, grenades, or even strategically using the stationary flamethrowers scattered around the area, though caution is advised.
With Mordecai awake, the next task is to meet Tiny Tina. This young explosives expert agrees to help blow up the train tracks to stop the train. She requires two "badonkadonks" (explosive devices) for her bombs. The player must venture into Buzzard Academy to acquire these components. This stage, searching for the "badonkadonks," is where the phrase "ищем жопы" originated within the Russian-speaking community, highlighting Tina's amusing and informal dialogue.
After collecting the "badonkadonks" and returning them to Tina, she transforms them into two powerful bombs she affectionately calls "ladies." These "ladies" must then be delivered to the top of a specific structure and placed on the train tracks. Activating the bombs triggers an explosion that destroys a bridge and creates a new path to the "End of the Line" area, patrolled by Hyperion Loader Bots and flying Repair Bots.
Pushing through the enemies, the player reaches the Terminus Plateau. It initially appears empty, but upon approaching the wrecked train car, Wilhelm appears. Wilhelm is a formidable boss, one of Handsome Jack's main enforcers, with a large health pool, armor, and a diverse set of attacks. He can summon Repair Bots to restore his shields and health and throw out carts that spawn additional Loader Bots. Wilhelm is dangerous both at range, with rockets and grenades, and up close.
To defeat Wilhelm, corrosive weapons are recommended for his armor, and electric weapons for his shields. Slag is also effective for increasing the damage he takes. Snipers can find a safe perch where Wilhelm cannot reach. Early in the fight, Wilhelm tends to stand still while summoning Repair Bots, making him vulnerable to long-lasting corrosive grenades.
After defeating Wilhelm, the player must pick up the power core he drops (note that the objective "Take the Vault Key" disappears with Wilhelm's arrival and is not formally completed). The final step is to return to Sanctuary and report to Lieutenant Davis to complete the mission. Completing the quest awards experience and money, and at higher difficulty levels, a white quality relic. A small secret exists: if you shoot the snowman's head near the southern entrance of Tundra Express while the mission is active, it will drop a unique pistol called the "Trumpinator." Be cautious not to kill Wilhelm too close to an edge, as his power core can fall off, though it can be recovered by reloading the area.
The "Hunting the Firehawk" mission is a crucial step in the Borderlands 2 storyline, driving the narrative forward, introducing memorable characters, and providing challenging combat encounters.
