Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG set in a Belle Époque-inspired world facing a supernatural threat. Each year, the Paintress erases people of a certain age, and Expedition 33 is humanity's last hope to stop her. The game blends traditional turn-based combat with engaging real-time actions like dodging and parrying, offering deep character customization and impactful combat mechanics. The Coastal Cave, accessible in Act 2 after unlocking Esquie's swimming ability, serves as a vital hub. It's guarded by the optional boss Grosse Tête, a challenging foe whose defeat rewards players with valuable items and progress for Monoco. Within the cave reside two friendly Nevron blacksmiths, the Unfinished Bruler and Unfinished Cruler. After a friendly "demonstration" battle, they open their shops, offering powerful weapons like the Bourgelon and Gobluson for Sciel, and the Lanceram, Lighterim, and Seeram, significantly aiding the expedition's journey.
