Old Lumiere (Short 1), Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a Belle Époque-inspired turn-based RPG where players lead Expedition 33 to stop the Paintress, a mysterious entity that annually erases people of a specific age. The cursed number decreases each year, threatening the complete disappearance of humanity. Old Lumière, a sprawling ruin on the mainland, is the fractured remnant of the original city after the "Fracture" event 67 years prior, which coincided with the Paintress's arrival. This cataclysm split the city, leaving Old Lumière infested with Nevrons and marking the demise of previous expeditions, including Expedition 58 and 42, often at the hands of the formidable Renoir. Players navigate its hazardous streets, initially separated, battling unique foes and unearthing journals detailing past failures. The journey culminates in a challenging rematch with Renoir, but even after his defeat, Old Lumière holds more secrets, including hidden journals, powerful weapons, and an optional boss, the Chromatic Danseuse, within the Train Station Ruins.
