Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

ລາຍລະອຽດ

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a first-person shooter that bridges the gap between the first two games in the series, focusing on the rise of Handsome Jack as he transforms from a Hyperion programmer into the villain players know and love. Set on Pandora's moon, Elpis, and the orbiting Hyperion station, it retains the franchise's signature cel-shaded art, dark humor, and adds new gameplay elements like low-gravity combat and oxygen management, along with cryo and laser weaponry. Players choose from four unique characters – Athena, Wilhelm, Nisha, and Claptrap – each with distinct skill trees, and can enjoy the series' staple cooperative multiplayer. The game explores themes of power and corruption, offering a nuanced look at its characters, all while delivering the series' characteristic humor and social commentary. Chapter 2, "Marooned," kicks off right after the "Lost Legion Invasion" and tasks players with taking down a bandit leader named Deadlift. This is crucial because Deadlift has stolen a key component needed to activate vehicle terminals, which are essential for getting to the hub town of Concordia. The adventure takes place across Elpis, a landscape that’s as beautiful as it is dangerous, with its own unique environmental challenges and hostile creatures. The mission starts with Janey Springs giving the player the rundown: defeat Deadlift, get the digistruct key. Players then head out into Regolith Range, facing off against various Kraggons, creatures native to this lunar environment. It’s not just wildlife, though; Deadlift’s goons, the Scavs, are out in force. The game encourages smart play, suggesting players use explosive barrels to clear out groups of enemies, and Deadlift himself chimes in with taunts, building the tension. A really cool part of this chapter is having to reactivate a jump pad that Deadlift’s disabled. To do this, players have to become the circuit, standing between two live wires and taking some damage. It’s a classic Borderlands move – dangerous, but funny. Once the jump pad is back online, it’s a leap straight into Deadlift’s fortress for the main event. The fight with Deadlift is a definite highlight. He’s got some nasty electric attacks, including homing balls of energy. The strategy involves dodging, using those jump pads for mobility, and aiming for his weak spots. The arena itself has hazards and opportunities for tactical movement, so staying aware of your surroundings is key. After finally taking down Deadlift, players find the digistruct key in a rather unceremonious place – a toilet, which is classic Borderlands humor. With the key in hand, the next step is to reach the Dahl Waystation to get the Moon Zoomy station working. This involves navigating through Kraggon Pass, which, as you might guess, is loaded with more enemies. Getting to the vehicle terminal and activating it allows the journey to continue. Completing "Marooned" nets players a Bronze trophy called "Welcome To The Rock," along with in-game rewards that upgrade their gear. This chapter really captures the spirit of "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel," blending engaging gameplay, character interactions, and that signature humorous narrative. It’s a pivotal moment, pushing players deeper into the wild and wonderful world of Elpis, and setting up the adventures to come.
