The game begins in Lumière, an isolated island, introducing the desolate reality of its inhabitants. The prologue immediately immerses players, starting with Gustave and his quest for a red rose, subtly hinting at past connections. This transitions into a dynamic rooftop chase with Maelle, showcasing the grapple mechanic. A combat tutorial duel with Maelle then familiarizes players with the unique real-time elements of the turn-based system.
