Tracking the gun to its new location leads to a second attempt to claim it and another "critical fail" dice roll. This time, Tina's capricious judgment results in the player character suddenly taking lethal damage, forcing them into a "Fight For Your Life" state. The weapon vanishes again, reappearing in The Forest. Reaching the gun for a third time in The Forest prompts Tina, seemingly embracing the chaotic nature of the dice, to transform the weapon into a mini-boss: Arguk the Butcher. This formidable Orc enemy, with swords for hands, must be defeated to revert the weapon to its original form. Once Arguk is vanquished, the gun finally becomes retrievable, completing the mission. The reward is the 'Crit', a powerful Shock Maliwan SMG with an unlisted critical hit bonus, but it has a humorous chance to be dropped upon reloading, living up to the mission's title. The "Critical Fail" mission cleverly satirizes the unpredictable nature of tabletop RPGs, particularly the sometimes arbitrary and frustrating outcomes that can arise from disastrous dice rolls and the whims of an unpredictable game master.
