*Clair Obscur: Expedition 33* is a turn-based RPG set in Belle Époque France, where players lead Expedition 33 to stop the Paintress from erasing humanity. Combat blends traditional turns with real-time dodges and parries. The Gold Chevalière is a formidable foe, a tall, armored knight with a golden-crested helmet and a large sword. It unleashes a "Frozen attack," hitting a single character three times with Ice, and a party-wide "Fire attack" that strikes four times and inflicts Burn. Players must exploit its weaknesses to Light and Dark damage while noting its resistance to Fire and Ice. Sciel, a Dark/Light specialist, is particularly effective. Defeating it can reward the Perilous Parry Pictos, enhancing parries at a cost. The optional boss, Chromatic Gold Chevalière, in the Crimson Forest, is a heightened challenge. Accompanied by Clair and Obscur supports, it demands strategic focus on eliminating the escorts first. Its elemental attacks are amplified, featuring seven-hit frozen and six-hit fire combos, both targeting the entire party.
