Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
ລາຍລະອຽດ
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 paints a vivid picture of a world under siege. Inspired by Belle Époque France, this turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive plunges players into a desperate struggle against the Paintress, a mysterious entity that annually erases people from existence by painting their age onto a monolith. With the cursed number dropping each year, Expedition 33 is humanity's last hope, tasked with ending this grim cycle before the number 33 is reached. The game masterfully blends traditional turn-based combat with dynamic, real-time actions like dodging and parrying, allowing for deep character customization and tactical depth. Its unique art style and engaging narrative have resonated with players, leading to significant commercial success and critical acclaim.
Nestled far to the east of Sirène's Coliseum lies the Sinister Cave, a small, optional locale that truly lives up to its name. This somber area, accessible during Act II, is best tackled by an Expedition of around level 40-50, as it harbors a formidable challenge. Upon entering, the gloomy interior immediately sets an unnerving tone, with the remains of a Gestral, a Volester, and a merchant scattered amidst the shadows, hinting at the perils within.
The cave branches into several paths from a central chamber. To the left, players can find the Earth-element weapon Elerim for Lune near a faintly glowing corpse. The right path beckons deeper, splitting again. One route necessitates utilizing grapple points to ascend to the cave's upper reaches. Here, beside a fallen merchant, the Dark-element weapon Corderon for Sciel awaits. Further along this elevated path, dropping through a specific aperture leads to a previously inaccessible ledge. Here lies the "Nocturne pour Lumière" music record, a crucial collectible for the "Connoisseur" achievement, resting beside another unfortunate soul.
Should players forgo the grapple points and remain on the ground floor, they will eventually reach the cave's rear, where the game's singular enemy and optional boss, the Chromatic Chalier, resides. This boss is a true test of skill and strategy. It begins the battle with a Berserk status, steadily increasing its attack power each turn. This mechanic transforms the encounter into a tense race against time, as the longer the fight persists, the deadlier the Chalier becomes. The creature is particularly vulnerable to Light elemental attacks while resisting Dark, making Light-infused characters and weaponry exceptionally potent. Its arsenal includes a devastating multi-hit combo targeting a single foe, a brutal three-hit striking sequence, and a deceptive party-wide swipe that demands a timely jump followed by a precise parry or dodge to mitigate substantial damage. Victory over the Chromatic Chalier is richly rewarded with valuable items, most notably the Chalium, a potent Light-element weapon for Maelle. Additionally, players receive two Resplendent Chroma Catalysts and five Colour of Lumina, essential materials for enhancing their gear.
