Stray, an adventure game by BlueTwelve Studio, casts players as a lost cat navigating a neon-drenched, decaying cybercity inhabited by robots. The narrative begins when our feline protagonist falls into a deep chasm, becoming separated from its family and finding itself in a post-apocalyptic world. The Control Room marks the poignant climax of this journey. Upon reaching the city's sterile, pristine apex, the cat, aided by its drone companion B-12, must solve environmental puzzles to access the main console. This pivotal area reveals B-12’s true identity as a trapped human scientist. The primary objective becomes opening the city's massive roof, a process that demands the cat’s playful interaction with consoles and B-12’s hacking prowess to disable security. The chapter culminates in B-12's selfless sacrifice, overloading its systems to let sunlight in, destroying the Zurks and freeing the city. The cat emerges into the Outside, a bittersweet freedom earned at the cost of its cherished friend.
